Living the Wonderful

Get to know me a bit better, and learn more about the mission behind Live the Wonderful

Hello, I’m Sian

Live the Wonderful was created to inspire its readers to go for their dreams and live their most wonderful lives.

Too many people feel unhappy, unhealthy, unfulfilled and stuck, and I want to inspire them to take charge of their lives and take small steps to a happier and healthier life.

You have one life, make it count. Make it awesome.

As Arnold Schwarzenegger puts so well,

“For me life is continuously being hungry. The meaning of life is not simply to exist, to survive, but to move ahead, to go up, to achieve, to conquer.”

Spreading the passion to LIVE

Why am I so passionate about helping others live their most wonderful life?

In 2013 I was feeling unhappy and lost, as though something was missing in my life. It felt like I was disconnected, just going around in circles. Then, I went on a crazy one-month backpacking trip to India with my sister, and it opened me up to the world again.

When I returned to Cape Town after the India trip, I knew I had to be braver and start making some bigger decisions if I wanted to find true happiness and fulfillment.

It was then that I decided to embark on a bit of a journey… To search far and wide, to explore and open up to the big wide world again. It was time to take charge of my life and be the master of my own destiny.

And so the journey began…

On a mission to become the best version of myself and create a life I truly love, I started working on improving the different areas of my life.

Healing my relationship with food, learning to truly love exercise, changing the way I approach the relationships in my life, redirecting my career, leaving the 9-5 office to go remote and have more freedom, moving continents, managing anxiety and self-doubt, reconnecting with my true self and discovering my deep desires.

These are just some of the ways I’ve worked on myself over the years, and I look forward to a lifelong journey of discovery.

I’ve learnt many lessons along the way, but one of the most important is that:

We can be truly happy and healthy. But it takes courage.

Creating a wonderful life

Looking back on where I was in 2013, I feel like a different person with a totally different approach to life.

So much has changed and I’m so proud of myself for being brave, being decisive, and pushing through even when things got tough.

It hasn’t been easy, that’s for sure. There have been countless moments along the way where my inner strength has been tested. But, because I know what I’m fighting for, I never give up. And over time, with consistency and commitment, transformation happens.

When you commit to working towards your goals, and take it step by step, no matter how small the step, you can achieve anything. You truly can.

Live the Wonderful’s philosophy

The philosophy behind Live the Wonderful in achieving your best life is grounded in four overlapping principles:

Believe in Yourself – Reconnecting with yourself and truly believing you’re worthy of an abundant life is the first step. Learn to truly love yourself again and break out of limiting beliefs.
Set Goals Smartly – Get clear on what you really want out of life. Map out your quest to success and take one small step at a time. Your goals may change, but you’ll start moving in the right direction.
Build Healthy Habits – Stay strong by instilling healthy habits into your life that support you along the way. When you’re nourished and energized, you can do so much more!
Nurture Mind, Body & Spirit – Nourish all areas of your life, from your body to your career to your relationships. This holistic approach helps you find balance and feel truly fulfilled.
